The Blindspot: Homolateral energy is when the body stops using cross-lateral movement under stress, leading to fatigue, brain fog, and low vitality. You can reset it with crossover and spiral Qigong movements.
I know…. you know…. there are days you’re so tired, unfocused, or over/under emotional… it feels like your body (well everything) is working against you?

It’s not in your imagination, your body is working against you.
So, let me explain this from an energetic perspective… although you could have other things going on, this is a good place to take a look.
We are conditioned to deal with fatigue by drinking more coffee, inability to focus with prescriptions, and emotional imbalance by pushing it aside. It is about time to ask the deeper question:
What’s actually happening in my energy?
When I worked in corporate this is exactly the norm – in the office sitting for hours. Usually I sacrificed one of the other – meals or movement in my 30 minute break.
I could drink coffee all day long. We know that the effects of coffee aren’t as beneficial as they seem, but what else do you do when you’ve got to give 110%, as they say (how do you even give 110% anyways? lol… this is another subject though).
This is the part you may have never heard before…
There is a scientific and energetic explanation for why you feel this way.
And there is a way to reset it.
When your energy gets stuck or out of balance, your system shifts into a homolateral pattern — your body’s stress-mode “efficiency” setting.

Homolateral means your energy — and often your movement — stays on one side of the body at a time, instead of crossing over.
This happens when you’re:
Therefore, your body tries to conserve energy, but the blind spot is it’s toll on your energy when you don’t switch back to normalizing cross-lateral patterns.
It also interferes with clear thinking because your brain hemispheres aren’t communicating well.
In a healthy, balanced state, your movement is naturally cross-lateral: Right arm → left leg, Left arm → right leg.
But, when you’re under stress or depleted, without noticing, your movement shifts: Right arm → right leg, Left arm → left leg.
It looks and feels totally weird if you try it consciously — unconsciously it’s a huge disruption to your energy. You could possibly see this happening in the life of elderly people, or someone who’s had a stroke.
Or have you ever gotten more clumsy when you’re really tired?
The days when:
That’s your energy running homolaterally.
It’s your system trying to survive — not thrive.
Now I’m will to let you know that you can help to remedy this….
It’s completely resettable, and it’s simple.
Crossovers and figure-8 patterns help your body return to its natural cross-lateral flow, reconnecting the left and right sides of your brain and body.
This energetic reset leads to:
Just a few minutes a day is often enough.
Energy doesn’t move in straight lines — it coils, waves, expands, and contracts.

In Qigong, spiraling is one of the healthiest ways Qi flows through your system.
In nature, spirals show up as symbols of:
And your body reflects the same pattern.
Spiraling motions:
So, If you’re not tending to this aspect of your energetic body, you may feel tired, depleted, or disconnected without knowing why.
That is why Qigong is specifically designed to support and strengthen these pathways.
This is what it means to care for your energy body.
You don’t need to push through, you can restore your vitality.
A few intentional movements can completely change your state.
